Who is the NCG and what does the NCG?

The Dutch Centre for Geodesy and Geo-Informatics (the NCG) is a foundation that is mainly staffed by volunteers and is located at Geonovum in Amersfoort.

The NCG is the platform in the Netherlands where consultation takes place to give direction to the fundamental and strategic research in the area of geo-information and Geodesy. The NCG does strategic explorations, scenario studies and trend analyses with regard to the technical-scientific developments in this field and initiates research.

What are personal data and what information is processed?

Personal data is information relating to a person or leads to identification of a person.
The NCG collects personally identifiable information that you have given us permission, such as your name, your organization's name and your e-mail address.

The NCG is going to respect the privacy of all persons whose personal data are processed and does so in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). On this website of the NCG (https://www.ncgeo.nl ) are the names and organizations of the members of the NCG Board and the NCG Commissions mentioned.

For the dispatch of meeting documents and information to the participants is used the (corporate) email address. These addresses are only processed by the NCG and will not be supplied to third parties.

The NCG organizes symposia, seminars and workshops. The program of these meetings contains the names of the presenters and is published on the NCG website and sent to the Board members and members of the Commissions. The presenters have given permission for publication. The participants of the meetings have to register with name and email address. This file is destroyed at the end of the meeting. The invitation for a meeting indicates that photos can be made.

Personal data security

We have taken appropriate technical measures to protect personal data against loss or other forms of unlawful processing. These measures shall ensure a level of security that is appropriate to the data that we process.

At the time a personnel change in the Board or the Commissions takes place, the new name and organization will be published after permission on the NCG website and the email address will be processed in the mailing list of the official Secretary of the NCG. At the same time, the expired name and organization will be removed from the website, and the email mailing list.

For this website the NCG uses a reliable SSL certificate to ensure that the personal information will not fall into the wrong hands. The website of the NCG does not use cookies.

Your rights (rights of the person concerned)

On the basis of the AVG, you have rights that you can invoke against the NCG to give you more insight on how the NCG processed your personal data. So you always have the right to withdraw your consent to process your data. Do you want to know what personal data the NCG's processed or do you believe that your information is incorrect, incomplete or not relevant, please make a request to the NCG. You will receive a response within 4 weeks.
